It's All About Your Pants
Time Management in an Age of Distraction
As I begin writing this article, let me tell you a little about my situation. I’m not all here.
I have a video bird feeder open in my browser. It is 4:45 a.m. and still dark, but I’m hoping to see a deer or an opossum. Birds won’t show up until after 7:00 a.m.
I’m having a lungo, an espresso-based drink. So, I’m wired even though I didn’t sleep well. I am sleepy and buzzed. It’s an odd feeling.
I’m streaming music on Spotify, but I can’t decide between my playlist “High Energy ’80s and Beyond” and some Perry Como.
Oh, wait. Michael Sembello’s song, “Maniac” (from Flashdance) is on. I have the lyrics window open, “Cold, kinetic heat.” Huh. I always thought it was coconetic key, which I never understood. Totally makes sense now.
